Since May 2018, Institute for Computational Science (INCOS) has launched the PhD program in Computational Science (6 semesters with 107 credits), which is taught entirely in English. This program is designed to ensure modernity and integration with similar doctoral programs of leading universities around the world. More information about the program is available here.
PhD candidates will be directed and worked directly with excellent domestic/international experts, PhDs and professors which have published many ISI papers, and participate in ongoing research projects at the Institute. In particular, PhD candidates will have the opportunity to receive a scholarship (full or partial) from Ton Duc Thang University if they are possible to publish articles in international journals in the ISI category. Details of the scholarship program are available here.
Computational Science is characterized as a highly interdisciplinary field that involves Computer Science, Computational Mathematics and a specific discipline (e.g., Physics, Civil Engineering, Chemistry, Mechanics, Biology, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Mathematics, Information Technology, Materials Science, etc.), thus students of computational science after graduation will have many career prospects ranging from teaching, scientific research, management or consultants in universities, research institutes or global companies recruiting experts in calculation and simulation. In particular, the demand for post-doctoral research in the field of computational science is currently very high demand in the world.
