In order to strengthen research capacity and to meet the growing demand of researchers/lecturers in computing and simulation, Ton Duc Thang University has equipped a High-Performance Computing Cluster (HPCC) with an upgrading plan in 3 phases. The HPCC in current phase includes 01 master node and 05 computing nodes:

1. Hardware (TDTU Computing Center):

01 Master node: 02 chip Intel Xeon E5-2698 v4 2.2GHz, 50MB cache, Turbo Max Frequency 3.6GHz; 20cores/40threads; 128GB RAM; 8 hard disks - 600GB 15K RPM SAS 12Gbps 2.5in Hot-plug; NVIDIA Tesla K80.

03 computing nodes: 02 chip Intel Xeon E5-2698 v4 2.2GHz, 50MB cache, Turbo Max Frequency 3.6GHz, 20cores/40threads; 64GB RAM; 2 hard disks - 300GB 15K RPM SAS 12Gbps 2.5in Hot-plug.

01 computing node with dedicated computation: (parallel computing problems demanding at least 4 cores and up to 1 core/30GB, data output at least 500 GB), 02 chip Intel Xeon E5-2698 v4 2.2GHz, 50MB cache, Turbo Max Frequency 3.6GHz; 20cores/40threads; 256GB RAM; 4 hard disks - 300GB 15K RPM SAS 12Gbps 2.5in Hot-plug.

01 computing node with graphic card: 02 chip Intel Xeon E5-2698 E5-2660 v4 2.0GHz, 50 35MB cache, Turbo Max Frequency 3.2GHz, 14cores/28threads; 64GB RAM; 2 hard disks - 300GB 15K RPM SAS 12Gbps 2.5in Hot-plug; NVIDIA Tesla K80.

2. Softwares:

Matlab (ver.2017b); COMSOL (ver 5.3.0.316); ANSYS (ver. 18.2); Fortran Compiler (GCC-4.4.7 & GCC-6.3.0); GROMACS 5.x (ver.5.1.4); Gaussian 09, Gaussian 16; Exciting-Code (Ver. 01 computing node: Intel Xeon E5-2697 v3 2.6GHz, 28 cores/ 56 threads, 64GB RAM, Windows Server 2016 Datacenter

01 computing node: Intel Xeon E5-2680 v3 2.5GHz, 24 cores/ 48 threads, 32GB RAM, UBuntu 18.04.4
